    Musing

On my way home from the farmer's market I decided to stop by to check out the Christmas event at a local park. While I was wandering around I managed to snap this shot of a little girl musing over a reindeer decoration and petting it ever so gently as though it were a real animal. Her mom couldn't nudge her to move on until she heard her favorite Christmas song being played by the live band.

    Musing

    C&C welcomed.

This captures the essence of youth and wonderment in a beautiful way. Very appealing, Daniel, very appealing indeed!

Great shot Daniel; you have captured the moment just about perfectly. The magic of Christmas is really all about how the children react to it; especially if you leave out the over-commercialized aspects of the season.

    Nicely done!

This is a great shot. I would like to do more candid street shots but wonder if there are ethical restrictions. Do we need to get consents to publish and especially when the shot is of a child and the shot is going to be published to the internet. Just wondering. I really like how you used the natural lighting to develop depth in this shot.

It's the moment you have captured that makes this for me. Real innocence is hard to portray but you have done so here.

Sometimes a picture just stops you in your tracks, and this is one. Lovely, and thanks for sharing.

Kurt, I believe that taking a photo of someone in a public place in general is OK though if someone approaches you and asks you to delete the photo you took of him/her then you should politely comply. Ultimately it depends on where you live and what the laws are pertaining street photography. Try Google street photography laws in your area.
