This is an interesting shot Brian, and one where a two image presentation would be very useful. I can't tell if the nose is on the left or the right, but then, I haven't see an Atlas Moth this close before!
Did you, by chance, capture one backed out just a bit so that we can see how this relates to the rest of the moth?
Update: I just saw your other posting of the entire moth so I am guessing that the brown part on the left is the banister you mentioned and the head is on the left.

Actually I took nearly 200 shots. (well they are very rare). You are right. In this shot there are 3 legs with feet, two antennae, and the nose is right under the antennae. there will be one or two more shots coming. One from the side to show the graceful line and hopefully some body shots and a head on.
