I hate Minor birds !!!! (not really)

Sat down trying to concentrate on some images this morning I had been continually disturbed by a new family of b****y noisy minor birds using my balcony as a landing and take off strip for their flight lessons.

I decided to shoot them so grabbed the camera quickly and got a few before they disappeared.

Lovely captures. For me #1 is the pick of the bunch. And these are much more handsome than the Indian Mynah birds which plague us and which are an introduced species. They are such a pest that we are all encouraged to do our level best to reduce their numbers with extreme prejudice. However our native Noisy Mynahs are very handsome birds.

I can get away with whatever I want during the daytime Izzie, the other half is at work

Seems like No 1 has the biggest fan base

What I particularly like about taking opportunities like this is that you never quite know the result you are going to get and if you are lucky enough to achieve an outcome where a subjects actions outweigh such thing as focus, highlights and DOFs it's a bonus

You can often get a couple with one shot, if you are lucky. Now, I am off to the local Mall to hide out in Macdonalds for a bit, to evade any flak my offer to you may engender from tree hugging, bird lovers.

While I admire the perfect straight on capture and expression in "Angry", I adore the "Dreamy" expression in "Dopey", who I think should be name "Dreamy."

I saw these birds in the Cook Islands at a Hotels outdoor breakfast buffet, every morning. Adorable!

Here's a picture of the adult Mynah we have here Dave. I think your's looks more like a cross with a vulture
