Re: Bruno came back to visit us...
He's a cutie, Richard...breaks my heart each time I learn some shelters just do not care for them at all...and looks like he is now well cared for by his new parents.

Re: Bruno came back to visit us...
Excellent story, Richard. It is great to hear of dogs (or indeed any other animal) where their lives have taken a bad turn, being rescued and their lives being turned around.
Do you feel some folks look on Maltese as "sweet little dogs" and do not think they need all the normal looking after, attention, consideration and exercise of any other dogs?

Re: Bruno came back to visit us...
Dave,
Unfortunately part of the beauty of the Maltese or Maltipoo is their lovely coats. But these coats need care and can really look ratty if not given that required care...
Wash and wear dogs like Chihuahua and most Chihuahua mixes, such as Joey, never seem to look ratty even when they haven't been bathed or groomed. Of course they also benefit from care...
Sasha, the terrier mix, has a longer coat than Joey but doesnt need a lot of grooming either, Her favorite activity is to chase rabbits through our Rosemary growing on the bank in our yard. That keeps her smelling great without frequent baths...
