    Against the Wind

I took this shot on a very windy day, but when I processed it, there didn't seem to be any movement in the windsock at all. Then I flipped it horizontally and it became more fluid. At least I think so.

    C&C welcome

Bob Seger inspired title ? That sock doesn't look like it would be much use for anything ! Nice vibrant colours Greg.

(Bob Seger -- I have that CD...and a few others of his.) Shot is simple and good and neat. I thought it has a tad too much greenish tint in it but it's OK looking at it in lytebox..

Dave, John, Izzie, Mark, thanks for commenting.

Yes, Bob Seeger. This windsock is at the back of WIN stadium which must be the coldest football ground in the country. On one side of the pathway is the stadium and on the other is the Tasman, so it cops a battering.

I was initially attracted to the textures in it, but then noticed the tube was facing the wrong way which really appealed to me, although, it kept swinging about while I was there - so was pretty useless at indicating wind direction.

When I opened it on the computer what I saw was light, texture, line, movement and great colour. The yellow is a bit greenish, Izzie, but the material is light and therefore a bit 'transparent' so I think the green is the mixture of the yellow sock and the blue sky behind it.
