As well as the cast iron arches being painted with images of anything and everything from the natural world, all the stone work is carved (or most of it is - they ran out of money.......). The stonemasons were allowed to use their own creativity and we were told often brought in specimens to copy - here are a few of these. C&C of the photos welcome - leave the stonework alone !!
