    It's All My Fault

I apologize to the Planet. I swear I don’t know how this could have happened. I had no idea it would lead to this!

I was just playing with my trucks!

But things got out of hand! I got out a flashlight (hand torch for my overseas buddies) and that’s when thing went horribly wrong!

My hand is holding the flashlight. I shined it on the table-top camera right, opened my shutter, moved my hand toward camera left and this is what happened!

I fear that I have rended the very Time/Space Continuum! I have somehow managed to violate the Very Laws of Physics! So if you wake up in the morning and your cattle are on the roof of your house, it’s my fault!

My Mother always told me: “Terry, if you had half a brain you’d be dangerous”. You were right Mom. On both counts!

I sure am sorry about this guys! I’ll take all the blame! I’m selling my camera gear and then turn myself in to the proper authorities with a full confession!

This is one frame and only documentary in nature. Just to prove my guilt.

Calm down - you at least have a supply of milk if you can figure out how to get the grass up to them. A thatched roof or a Hobbit house would be useful.

Hope they don't scare away the reindeer.

Terry you must have very advanced camera if it can take a photograph of a flashlight travelling faster than the speed of light. If you played soccer I would assume it was the hand of god.

There is an impossibility here but very good shutter speed...

    Never mind the advanced camera!

What blew me away is that I could move my hand faster than the speed of light!

This was entirely accidental and then I reproduced it for this shot.

This is very dangerous and has huge potential. It has way cool implications. I have just not decided how best to use this for Good rather than Evil yet!

In the wrong hands it could be the End of the World as We Know It!

The Hand is indeed sometimes quicker than the Eye!

Especially since i wasn't paying much attention to begin with (which is what got me into this mess)!

Terry I advise you not to repeat this dangerous activity - it wrinkles your hands and they may require botox.

Well I have stared at this for ages now Terry, racking my brain and thinking through every theory I have come up with and the only constructive comment I can make is perhaps crop the dark line along the bottom

No problem in that regard. In Minnesota, we all live in sod homes during the warm months. When it gets cold, we move to our igloo.

I think you're interpreting this all wrong. My take is that you simply have a bad aim.

Have you written your thesis on this phenomena so you can be hailed as an 'Einsteinian genius' in the theoretical physics world? However, I do agree with others that have warned you NOT to dabble in this type of behavior as it might create something along the lines of black holes or some other such physics black magic. Not going to be good for the rest of us.

L.Paul I experienced what I can only ascertain was a reverse “Twin Paradox” during this shoot. Reverse because as far as I can tell upon review of the shoot, I never left the Planet. Before the shot there were no wrinkles. My days as a hand model are now over! This is what I get for meddling in the affairs of God and soccer!

My aim is not even in the same zip code Mike! Admittedly, I didn’t “sight in” the flashlight before I used it!

This shot is embarrassing Brian. I have managed to somehow endanger the World-at-Large and I cannot, in all good conscience, live with that responsibility! I am so traumatized that I finally found myself regaining consciousness curled into a fetal ball on the floor with “Welcome to the Machine” playing over and over! So I will not be trying to justify my actions in any way!

Good call on the crop Grahame. I will make that crop! It would be the least I could do. It will not be enough but at least it’s a start in ameliorating my transgressions against Humanity!

Vaez thank you for saying and it is very kind of you to do so. Fire and Water was a very fun shot to make! My Heart Soars that you have enjoyed it. Thank you so much.

But you did disrupt the space-time continuum, therefore you could have left the planet for a hundred years (or more) and returned a nanosecond after shutter release.

What worries me is what will happen when you start thinking again - not sure the world is ready for that yet.
