Skies and Clouds
Hi, I want to start a collection of Skies and Clouds. What is the best camera settings to do this?
During a normal Blue Sky White Cloud day I go two stops over and it works quite well but what about early or later in the day or dark grey/black clouds?
Many Thanks

Re: Skies and Clouds
If it looks like being a tricky/interesting sky I tend to spot meter around the brightest areas then use those readings as a guideline.

To photograph such a scene, start with what you think will be the ideal exposure. After taking the picture, check your histogram and blinkies and adjust the exposure if necessary.
