Helpful Posts: I live in an area of Vermont where there are still many small family dairy farms. Last night our community held its first holiday tractor parade. It was quite a sight. I took my camera but didn't want to lug a tripod so my expections of coming home with anything were at 0 - which is beautiful because there's no chance of disappointment when you have zero expectationsI was happily surprised at what the D7100 with 35mm lens at 1.8, 1/200 and ISO 4000 delivered. I've never ventured over an ISO of 800. Yeah they are snaps, yeah there's grain, but not nearly as much as I expected. Just for funsies. Comments welcome.

Nicely captured, yeah grain where you'd expect it to be (in the shadows) but nothing that couldn't be recovered or fixed.

I was intrigued by what appears to be a set of lights inside the (rotating) wheel on the last shot.

Yes, there's a set of lights set on the inside of the wheel! There were probably 30 tractors in the parade and they had lights everywhere! It was really quite impressive. Originally Posted by Dave Humphries

Love it. It reminds me of the place I call my real home in Harford County, Maryland. Jarrettsville was a rural farming community at the time i was growing up. I was a 4-H club member, and our high school had a big FFA component. At the time, I could not wait to leave, but it is a source of nostalgia upon reflection.
