Our neighbor just dropped off this orchid as a Christmas present to us.
Here's my obviously rank amateur attempt at making a photo of it to share with all of you.
All natural lighting as the sun was fading fast here in the west.
C&C is always welcome and after looking at all the other recent orchid posts I've a pretty good idea of what I did wrong.

Lucky !!! Alan, if hubby will not complain about the many plants inside the house wintering now, I would have bought another orchid. This is beautiful. I love the colour of it...I am not critiquing your image shot. I am just commenting on your flower. Does it say what kind this one is?
