Right you are. To be specific the wing of an Atlas Moth. They have the largest wing area of any moth. I could have included the left side of the wing but that would have moved the tear drop out of the place of honour.

Thanks John, I am beginning the move away from the 'natural' shot into the 'enhanced shot'. Time will tell if I end up with a studio.

Great Image again Brian...may i ask what you mean by tear drop? Have you tried cropping out the black on the right and enhanced the saturation? love the colours and design!!

To me the translucent almost white area top left third looks like a tear drop. Others might see it as a hot air balloon shape. I had not thought about cropping out the black area. Usually I overdo the saturation so I had not thought about enhancing but I could.
