Hi Mike,

Please post and share, anything cute will be wonderful. I put the criteria in there because I think we sometimes forget how special photos are for the moment, even if they may be imperfect.

I have edited my intro and changed my pic to convey that.

The idea for this thread is simply to post a cute photo to share. One that brings a smile to ones face. If just one person posted a photo ever day in this thread for the rest of this year, and 2015, think of all the smiles we'd create - worldwide.

I'm hopeful that this thread will create a lot of smiles.

I forgot about my bears but indeed I have a few cute shots to share, albeit none are wearing sunglasses! I'll wait to post one until at least 50 other pics have been posted.

Just a note to say that while I'm not going to be able to thank and reply to everyone who posts a cute image (I'm an optimist and hoping for 100's of cute images) - thank you in advance to all.

I don't know about cute but it sure is a wonderful photo... Street Photography and wildlife all in one shot! The detail in the bird (turkey?) is amazing. Definitely a smile maker!

I never thought of it that way before Christina - it's a crossover photo You should have heard the conversation between my Mom and I..it went something like this:

Mom: Take a picture of that!
Me: Really, Mom? It's a guy walking a turkey and I'm not sure how close I want to get...
Mom: I want a picture. (I hand Mom the phone and Mom walks over and strikes up a conversation with the guy...while I leerily look on...Dad is parking the truck)
Dad walking towards me: Where's your mother?
Me: Talking to the guy walking his turkey! (I point...Dad's eyes get big as he looks towards Mom and starts walking that direction - I tag along)
Mom: He doesn't mind if we take a picture...(hands me back the iPhone)
I look at him, say Hi!, smile and take a few quick photos...

Mom learned the turkeys name and the reasoning behind it (apparently President Lincoln had a Turkey farm) along with a lot of other interesting stuff from her chat with the fellow who is quite nice and only a bit eccentric.

BTW Turkeys are NOT attractive up close and personal and they make a loud rustling noise when they move. It's a bit disconcerting to say the least.

So, if you are ever in Eureka, California be sure to look for the turkey and quite possibly a guy in a top hat walking a Yak (we missed him but a shopkeeper mentioned the latter when we asked what was up with the guy walking the turkey). There are some lovely old buildings is the area as well that could keep a photographer busy for a while although we were just passing through and didn't stay long.

This reminds me of the time I saw a woman walking her dogs. She also had a large pet pig in tow. Unfortunately, I did not have a camera with me.

This is certainly imperfect but whether it is super cute I am not sure. About 18 months ago, we were in Indonesia, on this day on the island of Lembongan. We were travelling on the back of a small truck like vehicle, which did not seem to have any springs, up a very rough narrow road. This group of locals came up behind us. I had a 10 second unrequited love affair with the girl in front with the lovely dimples. Soon after this, they managed to overtake us, rather dangerously I thought. And those are not rude gestures, they are the usual friendly ones in that area.

I like this thread! I have MANY less than perfect captures that I think are super cute! LOL

This is my precious niece. She was snuggling with her mom, my sister at the stove on Boxing Day. Unfortunately, I was too far away, using too much zoom in bad lighting plus I couldn't keep the camera still at the angle I was shooting from. She on the other hand, noticed the camera pointed toward her and if only all those factors would have been different, I could have had an awesome capture! I cropped out the "junk" so that you could see Her Cuteness.
