Nice capture of a golden willow. They too loose their leaves... eventually.
Nice, tranquil & welcoming.
Nice...
I've always want one of these in my garden but hubby said the root will cause problems. Anyway, this is nice, very warm-ist in colour.
The roots are extremely invasive. They have no trouble getting into your sewer pipes, storm water drains etc. If you find one growing on a river bank, you will see that the ground under the tree is 'spongy' - that's all its own rootwork. We use them to soak up the water in areas that don't have drainage for household waste etc; or in boggy ground. They make good stock feed, too. I planted one on a small rural property I had, and the geese kept the branches neatly trimmed to about a metre above the ground - as high as their necks could stretch.
+1. I had 2-3 in my back yard and was forever cleaning out septic and storm drain pipes. But they are beautiful.
Nice shot, though, John.
Thanks for sharing.
