Does have a protruding into the frame look to it. Nicely captured.
Probably your most daringly artistic image and definitely one of your best.
I love this one, William...very artistic to say the least...
Very, very nice William.
From 2'' to 16''....Is this a 'panoramic' stack ? How many pictures stacked?
very nicely done. Follows advice I found years ago in a book by Scott Kelby: try to find unusual perspectives for flower shots.
Well, I'm not very creative either, but if you just play around, you can sometimes find things. For example, one can vary the perspective from side view, through a wide range of diagonals like William's, to a full frontal view. you can do the same from top to full frontal. E.g..:
Or you can frame off center:
Or you can look from below:
Also something I've never tried, except with on-camera flash, would be the use of off camera flash/lighting. I've shot quite a few backlit flowers but another method would be to use a flashlight, multiple flash, etc. I guess adding an odd backdrop could also be incorporated into the shot.
Great image Boyer
Rudi, there are three orchids in this image representing 385 images taken, stacked and merged in PS.From 2'' to 16''....Is this a 'panoramic' stack ? How many pictures stacked?
Final image is 6' wide...don't ask why.
Lighting...four 100 watt LED bulbs bouncing off walls and ceiling using dimmers as needed, as well
as a couple of these http://www.amazon.com/Xtraflex2-Led-...+bright+lights attached to camera base.
Tethered shooting using Canon Utility Software to control settings and focusing.
Mike...Thanks for your gracious comment!
