Very unique shot as we had just learned a bit earlier in another post that birds mostly do not look directly at the camera. If I may say so, this needs a bit of a crop at the left and at the to concentrate more on the bird since it is your subject here. I like the texture of the wood s/he is on but it seems to be competing with the bird a bit, don't you think? Just thinking out loud here...

Don't disagree. Only problem this was taken from a long distance and already a crop applied. If I cropped more it would degrade the image.
