Bunker Blues
This structure was a gun placement bunker during WWII at Herring Point on the Delaware Atlantic coast. One can only imagine the long lonely days the boys that manned these defensive posts spent. My eye was attracted to the shapes and edges that the building describes, to the blue sky and the yellow sunlight on the grasses. I wasn't inclined to make an image that depicted the history of the location but to see it from a different point of view. Your comments and criticisms are welcome; particularly your reaction to the processing.
Thanks,
Andrew

Re: Bunker Blues
Very nice composition. I like the fresh blue/yellow energy with soft swaying grasses in contrast to the sharp edges and corroded texture of the bunker. You're right, it's not history, it's art--a vision realized now.

Very artistic. Bold shapes and colors are attractive. An interesting image.

Re: Bunker Blues
Very nice. We were just at Sandy Hook, NJ yesterday and they also have a lot of bunkers formations like this. I took a few photos. Will have to post.
