    First of the new year

Dedicated to Mike and his wine glasses...care to join me ma cheri?

    First of the new year

    I tried a somewhat different back lighting scenario...almost 60" @ 300ppi
    Arrangement/CC suggestions would be appreciated.

Absolutely gorgeous! I adore the unique arrangement, lighting and gorgeous pinks set off beautifully by the background.

Chauncy, I really like this image. I think the black bg and whatever lighting you used helps to show off the blooms.

I like that arrangement, Chauncey. That would make a good valentine's card. If you put one of those sprays on one of Mike's wine glasses ... or better, yet, on one of his broken wine glasses ...

Great shot, William! I really love this one...the black background is just the right one for this colour.

Greg...a broken wine glass will not be suitable for this kind of shot -- especially if it has just landed heavily on your partner's head. Too much excitement I should say...

I don't know anything about orchids, but I'm surprised the petals aren't at least somewhat translucent. All of the back lighting seems to be blocked by the petals.

Beautiful arrangement and stunning presentation, William. Only where the two stems meet does it look like there was image manipulation.

Fabulous William. In my neck of the woods we'd refer to this as "picture perfect"
    Great shot.

Yes and no...I used heavy copper wire with thread to form the stems, removed in PP.

It is quite subtle Mike, there were two of these...http://www.amazon.com/Mighty-Bright-...ght+book+light and lots of reflected lighting off the walls and ceiling.

As usual it was stacked and merged to 60" wide. Thanks for the kind words folks.
