    Black and Pipevine Swallotails

I think first two photo's are of Black Swallowtail (Papilio polyxenes) and last is of Pipevine Swallowtail (Battus philenor) but I could be mistaken. I live in the Northern Chihuahuan Desert, in Southern Texas. There is great biodiversity here but things like these butterfly's are in a localized bio habitats, and usually involve hours of walking. The quality of some of the some of the photo's I have seen here is far beyond my current skill level but it gives me something to strive for.

Nice set, Lee. The first one stands out for me, because of the colours.

Your basic shots are fine, Lee, but I would crop the portrait size scenes a little tighter at the top or bottom. Maybe end up with 4 x 5 ratio or square?
