    Australian Native Bees

These are two species of Aussie native bees. They're only about ¼ inch (6mm) long and don't have a sting.

I like #1 and #3. The sense of movement in #1 is good, and the bee looks quite comical. Did you know you had spot metering set?

wonderful, bright colors and details throughout the series. 3 & 5 are my favorites of the bunch, the compositions are the strongest to me. #2 is has a lot going on in the background, otherwise it would have also been a favorite.

YesI did Rob, I often do because that way I can expose for the subject or a particular part of the image.

I hummed and hawed for a while wondering if I should have posted a cropped version of this shot but thought it would look too much like a horizontally flipped version of #3 so went for the wide version in the end to try to show how small the bee is. But then you'd need to know how small a Tom Thumb Bottle Brush flower is to get the feeling of size anyway I guess
