    I forgot to mention I think that is a fascinating/fantastic shot Kathy ... obviously breaking the rule of not using a wide lens for panos Maybe I will get PTgui and use my bugeye I got late last year ... probably not as other interests are taking my time instead of photography these days.

    Yeah, 360x180s are a timesink very few crazies want to go down. But if you do manage to get there, little planets are simply done by remapping the stitched equirectangular pano to stereographic, and then setting the pitch to -90 (setting it to +90 nets you a little sky/tunnel). Hugin and PTGui make it pretty easy, but I cheat and go with the Photoshop plugin, Flexify.
