It's a gorgeous image.
The title of your thread is "chive." Is this image a flower of the same type of chive that is used as an herb when cooking?
Yes, Mike, it's part of the Allium genus. You should have them in N. America. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chives
beautiful - love the spikes
Love the color and composition, nice shot!
Dear Rob,

Looks like it's on fire! Love it!
Marie...it has the Glow Effect of Topaz...am I right Rob? Or you didn't want to tell. I have chives now moved to my kitchen garden window and it doesn't look anywhere near this shot...you did very well in this one. I love the effect...
Interesting and colourful image, now I'm left wondering how you did it Rob ?
or just for fun
Delwedd ddiddorol a lliwgar , yn awr fy mod yn meddwl tybed chwith sut y gwnaethoch hynny Rob ?

I never realized there was a French ex-pat colony in North Yorkshire. How do you say 'ee up lad, trouble down at mill' in French?
To more technical matters... I used Fractalius plugin http://www.redfieldplugins.com/filterFractalius.htm
au revoir!
That's a cool shot Rob!
I love that plug-in. Shame he isn't writing it for OS X!
Very nice image
And cheaper than the Topaz version of Glow too...I remember having Redditt on my Photoshop of old. Played with some of them for a while then forgot about it as I learned Photoshop...maybe about 2 computers ago or something...
Rob, I really like the treatment and vibrant colours in this one.
