looks like a wall hanger to me, especially for a hot summer day (you do get those in BC? )

Manfred, appreciate your feedback. Thank you for the instruction for the cropping. That is so simple to do I am almost embarrassed at not knowing that

Graham, Christina, & Barbara thank you very much.

Thank you Dave. Yes, we do get some hot days in the summer. We are a funny lot here in BC, one nice day and we forget about all the gallons of rain we get. During our last sunny but cold snap I saw someone wearing shorts

Everything seems simple; once you know how to do it. I'll have to admit, I had the same issue at first, when Adobe redesigned the interface for that tool.

I have a long list of issues I've had with Photoshop over the years, until I figured out how to do something. I'm certain there are new discoveries for me to make..

Beautiful dramatic sky. I love the ice blue of both sky and water.

    Thanks Rhonda, Dan, & Irene.

Manfred, when I got into photography about 1 1/2 years ago I had no idea how much learning there would be

OK...I am late to this party but I am also with the "Don't change anything camp" here...truly a wall hanger for sure...just don't agree about the sun bit. I tend to think it is a little bit overdone, maybe because I have a filter from my old film days and used it so much until I dropped on that idea. I like the whole scene the way it is and had to get out of looking at it if I want to stay in this sort of supposed to be warm room before I freeze too. 'Had that silly effect on me...

More praise here. Just great. I think the horizon is about where I would put it - much higher and it would "cut the picture in half". I think another interesting quality here is WB. It is often discussed conundrum in these forums and the fact that it hasn't been mentioned in all of these posts suggests you have it pretty right. Sure seems so to me - cool all over except for tiny bits of warmth in sun's reflection. Just right for me.

This is a great shot and just screams cold/winter/icy. I too am in the crop-a-bit-off-the-bottom group, for two reasons; cropping a bit off the bottom gives greater weight to the sky and secondly, it removes that bit of dark water at the bottom of the image.
