A very nice portrait, Antonio. I've always thought taking pictures of a dog would be almost as difficult of doing portraits of children. You've done this beautifully.

That is indeed quite stunning & personally I think this would be even more difficult than children!
    Beautiful work.

Nicely done, Antonio. Quite the expression captured here.

Good portrait, Antonio. The expression you have captured in its eyes makes me think it is more intelligent than some people I know.

Great portrait of a beautiful dog... I once had an AKC (American Kennel Cub) Champion Portuguese Water Dog that was a magnificent girl. She also held obedience titles. Her son was also a champion and held obedience titles.

Thank you everyone for the nice comments.

The dog was moving all the time. His owner couldn't hold it still but just for a few seconds...

It sounds like the young child analogy was close then...

Great shot of a dog that won't sit still!

I think and go and make a series out of Portuguese breed dogs...

I'll have to talk to the vet.

Antonio, I am sure that you have breed specific clubs in Portugal for the various Portuguese breed dogs. And I suspect that, given your level of photographic expertise, many clubs or club members would be happy to assist you by providing subjects for your camera. You can locate the clubs through Clube Portugues De Canicultura, the Portuguese National Kennel Club who may also help you in other ways. Boa Sorte my friend!

Thank you Richard but I would like to make the series without leaving Setúbal. I mean, with minimal expenses.

I do have other projects in progress like the one of the quarries for example which make me travel some kilometers from time to time.

Your idea is excellent. In fact I have already talked to a vet about the dogs and he told me he would willingly help me on the project. He told me he knows a dog to whom we can make everything like making him walk with shoes for example. Here at home, we once had a dog like that.

    Thank you Richard !

However, I prefer a more serious approach to the theme
