Into The Sun ----SOOC apart from the crop---C&C welcome

I thought the light was an interesting place for the figure to walk to with leading lines lending to the composition. I fiddled with some adjustments almost out of a sense of obligation and concluded I was doing nothing to add to the image. Given this image I would be interested to see what others might do in terms of post processing.

Figure looks sad or tired. Nice image.

Nice composition, colors. The only adjustment I might make would be some slight noise reduction. You have a winner here. Nice work.

As John has commented your figure does look a bit forlorn but I think that has worked for you. Subjects normally are better placed moving into an image but because of the appearance of this person it suits the composition to have him walking out.
Other than that maybe a little more contrast where the sun is lighting the right foreground sand but that's about it for me.

They said that 4 hours of being out there and about in the light is a good way to cure depression. This is what comes to mind when I saw this image. This shot evokes the emotions, tell its story of how this young man needed to see the light...everyone has them same moments in life. Thank you Andrew...

Composition seems to work OK for me.

Normally with this sort of scene he would be walking the wrong way. Heading out of the image instead of walking towards the centre which usually works better. But in this particular case he is heading towards that bright light which is just beyond the frame edge; so that changes everything and makes this scenario acceptable.

The only things I would change are a few small 'hotspots' on the beach, which I would clone out.

I was sitting in my easychair I placed a piece of paper obscuring the sun. I think that would work but that is only my opinion.

Works for me..i agree on getting rid of hotspots but thats about it..i like the brightness to the right and wouldnt do anything to contrast. My eye goes there...but i think its supposed to, after i see the sad "person" walking that way...if ya take away the brightness...you take away the story...what do you want from the image?

If the horizon on the left side of the composition is sea, it looks as though the photo needs a slight clockwise rotation.

    Cheers.
