    Re: Ice

I can see this will be a preparation for the ice sculpture exhibition? We have such a festival here an hour further here where they have an exhibition and sculptural contest...I've never attended one because sometimes it is really too cold to go out. I am a warm blooded animal, I suppose...Or would this be taken in an ice making factory? Is there such a thing? I like the sharpness of this shot, the transparency of the ice, you seemed to have captured so well....I wonder what that guy is thinking while piling those pieces on top of one another? Kinda evoke one to make a story up with this shot...

    Hi Izzie,

Thanks for commenting. It was definitely cold during this outing, luckily there was a coffee shop nearby.

Great shot - wonder what this is for. Reminds me that the harvesting of ice from frozen bodies of water used to be an industry.

    Hi Mark,

It was difficult to get a good shot not obscured by either the sculptre or other tourists. I'll check my other shots and see if I can tell what it says. Thanks for the comments.

    Mark,

Thanks for the comments. The ice sculpture was to kick off a Winterfest carnival, past events were ruined by unfavorable (warm) weather. No chances of that happening this year.
