I shot this today with the little Leica D-Lux2 and forced flash. I post-processed with Topaz Denoise and Detail (v.2). I thought a different sort of composition was in order:

I had to look twice to work out what was going on here. It certainly has captured the flower head very sharply. TBH I think it would look great as a square crop with just the left half of the shot. Not sure about the right half though.
