Seriously good Jeff. Wonderful light and the snow is "icing on the cake".

Outstanding!!! The lighting is absolutely perfect and I like how the cross on the right frames the shot. Mountains in the background are a great touch as well.

You are shooting with my favourite camera and favourite lens, but somehow, this image seems to have the pieces going for it; the sky, the lighting and mountains, but compositionally it does not quite come together for me.

I think the problem I have with it is that my eyes are either drawn to the splash of sun hitting the old church or the sun-lit mountain just to the left of the cross. So I keep looking at the edges and not into the main body of the image. That just adds to the visual confusion, at least to me.

You actually have two images in one; the church and the sunlit mountain and cross. I wonder if these might not stand alone better separately, than together?

And oh, the snow-capped mountain looks more like covered in foil. I love it...I cannot add to anymore than what has already been said.

I've been struggling a bit with that too, as all the other elements that are needed for an outstanding image are there. Beautifully shot and processed.

For me (and with the help of being able to move the image around the screen in the Lightbox), the 'rogue' is the cross. I take Manfred's point about the bright mountain top way over on the right. But if you crop just to the left of the cross, the image, for me, can still carry that bright mountain top. I then it helps move the eye across the image left-to-right.

    Re: Chapel

Really a nice image, Jeff. I'll be the odd man out here on the composition. It works differently for me. When I look at this image the, the church with its lovely lighting is the immediate attention getter. Then the bright mountaintop at right of frame catches my eye and when I look over there, oh, there's a cross. Some images are enjoyable for the immediate sensation when one sees them. Other, like this one, reveal themselves more slowly upon close inspection.

In that regard, when I do start looking closely, the whole image seems rotated slightly counter clockwise and a bit distorted. The cross is aligned vertically but the church looks like the builders were in sad need of level and plumbob.

Overall a really lovely shot. Nice job.
