    false modesty aside I just started playing with various settings in RawTherapee and Gimp and after a few false starts ended up with take 2. I must admit that I like the shot!

    Very good. I did something similar on a spur of the moment though. It was of one of my daughters standing in a hotel hallway on holiday, they had spot lights over the entrance doors to the bedrooms. Reminded me of QUEEN Bohemian raphsody.

    It worked for me, not sure it was a decent image in its raw state though.

    Amazing what the difference light makes to the same scene isn't it, well done.

    I live in the tropics now. But for many years (pre camera) I lived on the north coast of B.C. Canada.The light would change throughout the year and of course there was the fog to put in new shades of grey.
