    Curly Tree

There must be more trees out there: This one is not a reflection. The tree actually grows this way. I don't know what kind of tree it is.

Nice reflection, Wendy. I don't know what tree it is either.

This one is Corsican Pines. They grow near the beach and always look very weak and brittle to me. Shot a couple of days ago.

    On black

If viewed as a reflection (e.g. in a puddle), are the branches straight?

I think it might be 'salix matsudana' or 'Twisted Willow' but I might be wrong. Here's a shot of it. We have a couple in our garden, but they are only a few years old.

Thanks Rob, I think you might be right. The large picture certainly looks the same. The one in my shot is not in full leaf yet. I've never seen anything like it.
There is a greenhouse in the park. The next time I am there, I will try to find a groundskeeper and find out for sure what it is.

Thanks for checking it out for me

Or Japanese Maple. Its only small but still qualifies as a tree I think. Its a bit strange as when we first had it the leaves were green edged with purple but now it sems to have gone sligtly schizophrenic as half the tree has green leaves and half purple!

Very nice subtle greens in this. Pretty trees, aren't they. I said you could post Bonsai, so this definitely counts!

Very Nice! I like "Windblown" too but it's kind of creepy and snakey looking.

    Standing to Attention

I'm sure this has been somewhere in our forums before, but not sure where. Apologies if you've seen it before.

Good shot, Steve. It has a very nostalgic, sad look.

We are in Martinborough at the moment. Hoping to head South, but North, if you follow my drift, by the end of June.

Are you just touring around? You presumably have a laptop with mobile access? I think we need a shot of the bus.

We live in it Rob. At the moment, we are a bit grounded here with family stuff keeping us pinned, but badly want to get to the South Island - place of my birth - and do a tour there for a couple or three years. There are some fantastic places just dying to leap onto my sensor.

Yup. It keeps me sane and in contact with various photo-types that I meet on the road and elsewhere. Also Flickr etc. I'd hate to be without it.

Errrr...that, to, is on the external h/drive and it is pitch black tonight, so no hopping out to get a quick snap. But I will fulfill your deepest desires tomorrow.
