Re: Baaaaaa....Hiding on Amherst Island
Did not even think of that thanks Mike. As for the ISO the D90 base is 200 it can be tricked into 100. I has set up the camera for BIF, very soft flat light did not change throughout the day. The setup was for BIF was ISO 1600 but compensation of +2.67 so I was over exposing by 2.67 stops as I knew that I would have not problem in post. I did a number of test shots on the ferry over and found that I got blinkies at +2 stops slower shutter than added another stop worth then thought to be safe removed a 1/3rd of a stop to arrive at +2.67. By doing that I was able to keep my shutter speed up, overexpose the image, keeping more data in the high lights then in post move the exposure slider to the left to increase blacks and shadows without getting noise there. Oh the sheep were shot at ISO 800, the original looks very high key and as I moved the exposure slider to the left I was able to keep all that great detail in the black ones face which is where the story is.
Cheers: Allan

Re: Baaaaaa....Hiding on Amherst Island
Hi Allan,
Just to say that I'm in the "I love this image" crowd. Truly special! While I can see the point of view for the focus on the front sheep, I just love the black sheep amidst the white ones, and looking around at the all the faces of the sheep in the image is truly delightful.
