    hocus-pocus stuff

Oil, soap, water, agitation, blowing with a straw.

Panasonic G6, studio flash head for lighting. All hand-held. The areas you see are about 2 inches across.

Love 1 and 2 remind me of jewelry. 4 is interesting. I find #3 lacking something but can't put my finger on what.

Too much negative space? I thought that.

No hocus pocus, just beautiful photography. I like all of them for different reasons and wouldn't change a thing.

The negative space in the third one works really well for me because it puts the curved diagonal (so to speak) in context. If it bothers you, consider adding a gradient that takes it just a bit darker toward the top right corner for additional interest.

Could be that but I think it's the seeing so much of the edge of the "container" and green to the side. Also everything seems so crowded in the corner. Like I said not exactly sure why.....I am however a fan of these which is odd as I am not usually draw to such contemporary art but find them beautiful.
