Old House #4 Critique and Comment welcome

Last in the series of images processed in two versions; colour and black and white.

This image is a closer shot of the same house in #3. Hopefully I can get back out to this area , there are a number of places I want to reshoot. However it is about 80 to 100 away and unless my work and on call situation changes it won't be 2015.

Very rich colors, nicely captured. I like the conversion also.

This is the first one that I have a clear preference for, Trevor. The house just doesn't seem to belong with the bright colors. Definitely B/W for me.

My goodness. I'd say Canadian labor law needs to be revised if an employer can work a guy so hard that he can't make it a hundred meters to take a photo or two.

I like the clouds as background for the old home. One very slight thing... The wisp of cloud that is high image left along the top border bothers me slightly. It attracts my attention (being a bright spot) but, there isn't enough of it. I suspect that the image would be more balanced if that cloud wisp were cloned out.

I also like the B&W version a bit better but, both are nice...

My employer is a heartless devil who makes me work ridiculous hours and contrives to even subvert and thwart the little free time i have by imposing ridiculous limits on how far I can be from my work; even after hours. I am only allowed to be 20 minutes from work at any time. (The 80 to 100 is kilometers, a restriction to metres is even too brutal for that slave driver). Too bad I am self employed.

Well then you should move south of the 49th parallel. Down here the courts have ruled that if on-call requirements restrict an employee's lifestyle, then they must be paid for the hours that they are on-call. So you'd have to give yourself a raise

No, my wife works for the same type of slave driver. Only hers is female and makes her come home at night after working all day and forces her to do the financials for the practice. Mine only forces me to do the laundry, cook and clean as fair compensation when i get home.

Hah! The last time I tried that he laughed in my face and said "When I was your age I worked all day and night for as little as you get paid and was glad of it".

Nice work again, a very tranquil place, perfect for an outdoor office, then whenever you go there.... It's work! Problem solved.

I like both, I agree the tiny sliver of cloud top left is distracting & even though the colours are just so rich and vibrant, I find myself preferring the 'mood' of the second.
3 things I try to think about & hope my phots convey even 1 of them are, texture, dimension and mood.
