    Birthday Walk plus fifteen days

What a difference from the images I posted here previously LINK. I ventured out this morning and based on the weather forecast I was hoping for a little bit of sun, instead I got a quite chilly breeze.
For those of you who saw the original walk, I hope I'm not boring you, hopefully you will enjoy the walk as I have included a couple of different views.

The first and last photos are really beautiful, Rob.

The last one could be magical if you converted to monochrome and worked it a bit to bring out a little more detail in the snow. I would also consider removing the fence post and the wire, which would then require cloning to attend to the lowest branch on the tree.

Regardless, that tree would be well worth visiting many times.

You did well with this series. Not bad for taking the camera along on a walkabout.

Don' know what lens you were working with but it seems with a wide lens there may be some interesting opportunities with the stone wall.

I like them, all of them, but I think #3 is a particularly interesting composition. You did a good job handling the snow.

Peter very, very nice all of them, but I prefer #3 best...even with the snow a little bit too thick, it still leads the eyes to the big Roseberry...nice shot!

I love that tree in number 4, such an interesting shape to it and reasonably isolated from its surrounds. One to have even more fun with in the future

I recall the 3rd and 4th from your previous posting, but only because you mentioned it. They looks so different now, covered in snow. There are some great colours in there. And that tree looks much better for separating it from the hill, though as Mike points out, the other side is overlapping the fence post now.

Thanks everyone for taking time to join in with my little stroll, much appreciated. Mind you today my hips are reminding me how old I am now .

    Dan I was using a 17-40mm for the images shown here, #1 at 32mm, #2&3 at 17mm, #4 at 30mm.

Mike I was aware of the branch and post issue as I was composing #4. When I have looked back at the images (a bracketed series) I can see that the branch was being blown downwards by the wind which; was blowing left to right as you look at the image. But...here's another view with a slightly different composition. This one was hand held which I took before climbing higher to capture #3.

I thought I should just grab an image without any humans in shot and just in case the tree was blown over before I got back to it

    #5 That Tree revisited.
