Glass "flower bud" framed by broken glass

One of my favorite compositional techniques involving transparent glass is to frame at least one glass within another.

This photo provides me and my brother-in-law lifelong evidence that perhaps we're not the only family members who should be a bit more careful despite what our wives would tell us. The wine glass was broken by my wife. The water glass was broken by his wife.

Large lamp with only one of five bulbs lit shining through the background of translucent vellum toward the subjects and camera. Desaturated (not converted) to monochrome.

I've put this off as long as possible...there are six teenagers in our house and we haven't broken
    a glass in several years.

Very creative and I love the story behind it. Now if you are smart as I think you are you'll delete the original photo and never mention it again

It's clear that I'm not as smart as you think I am.

When you can make what might be considered by some to be an unfortunate accident into a work of art, then you are seeing something that could be considered a Gift.
