Great shots, I think the second is my favorite.
Amazing photos!!!
Thanks, folks, glad you enjoyed.
That's part of it, Izzie. Also when I go on a shoot many times I have in mind what I'm trying to get. So when I cull I pull out the things that fit my preconceived notion and skip over the others. After some time passes, I'm looking more objectively rather than for the specific thing I had in mind.
Sounds plausible anyway...
Excellent shots. #1 is my fave. I love the isolation of the bear within the rushing water, and the "expression" and body posture as it waits and looks for a fish. Great stuff!
Yes, Dan, I've been meaning to say, these are all really outstanding, but I especially love #1.
Thanks, Matt and Janis. Now after the fact I wish I'd had the presence of mind to try some slow shutter shots of the bear sitting in the water. That could have been interesting. When I go to a location specifically to photograph a certain subject, I'm really bad about getting tunnel vision with a predetermined image in mind. Doing so makes one overlook possibilities. It really is more enjoyable to just take one's camera and wander about.
