I love this one Jim, even the texture of the wood near him and his eyes tell a story in itself. It begs a question as to what he was thinking when he saw you taking a shot at him...pun intended.

I agree with Izzie, great shot. Interesting that there are two small trees directly behind the buck's head, that kind of match the inner tines. One suggestion (for whatever it's worth) would be to clone out the bit of hemlock showing along the left edge(s). Not enough there to contribute to the image and would then leave that great fall/winter dead leafy background.

I think it is great and I am envious that you have such an animal coming near to you ... nothing like it visited the house I was staying at out of Denver ... the bucks [3] were still youths and frisky as they charged up and down the valley.
