    Wild Rabbits = Entertainment

Last winter these wild rabbits were my entertainment, now that I have been going through them, hopefully they will be yours.

Many of these photos were shot through the window. The first two I processed as potentially quality shots; though C and C is welcome on any of them, most of these are posted just for fun.

1 These are the rabbits that lived on our property through the winter. There was often a dozen, upwards to 15.

4 We cut some basswoods since the rabbits had killed most of them by stripping the lower bark for food- they happily bought them after they broke them.

5 Rabbits didn't see eye-to-eye, they both wanted the good stick, so pretty soon one flicked the other in the nose.

Nice series Nick...I like #3 best of all even though the birdie's eye need a bit of lightening or saturation...

That's a bunch of rabbits. You may have inspired me with this post. One thing I still don't have any images of is a snowshoe hare. We have them all around our property. Maybe it's time to offer them a meal...

Good entertainment for sure. I sometimes look out the window to see what stuff goes by but have never actually taken a shot because everything just likes to come out at night.

Thanks for your comments guys. I'm glad you liked the rabbits.

You're right Izzie, but I thought it would take too much time for this occasion...

Wild rabbits will eat ANYTHING, (well, almost) but bird seed will do, or certain types of bark of young trees, or of twigs, but not just any species of tree bark. That would be a lot of fun to shoot some hares! We see snowshoe hares occasionally in spring, but not in the winter for some reason.

Good entertainment for sure. I sometimes look out the window to see what stuff goes by but have never actually taken a shot because everything just likes to come out at night.
You need a flashlight. Most of my rabbits were shot during the daylight of course, but I have a couple of shots from night, it's just not as practical to photograph things at night
