Tour Down Under

Just been down to Adelaide in South Australia for the first race of the year for the pro riders. They had it comparatively easy this year as the temperatures were around 27C (80F). In the past and more normally for Adelaide they've been around 43C (109F). Also being Adelaide in the summer the bright sunlight meant high dynamic range with bright highlights and resulting dark shadows to deal with.

Same guy back at the team rest area. This didn't stop him, he continued on to the end of the Tour.




Cadel Evans is a champion Australian rider who has won the Tour de France. This was his last competitive ride before retirement from the sport. He is the BMC rider on the white bike in the centre of the shot.

Very good set Graham, you've really captured the atmoshere of the day. The panorama works particularly well I think. Image quality is very good in all the shots.

Great series Graham, awesome! But Cadel did finish his career with a race here today named in hs honour, through his hometown & environs... It was wet & windy & cool & very crowded, I get some pics, which I'll see if any are worth sharing later. Yours are wonderful well done.

All great shots, Graham. I like #1, and 2 and the last shot...pity about the bloody guy.
#1 -- good pano there
#2 -- as we say in air shot shots, banking is the best shot...it is the curve that made this shot good.
Last shot...looks like this is a banked shot too...and I like Cadel Evans and the Aussie flag at the back of the shot.
