    Image reminds me that I have a Ganesh ornament I'm supposed to photograph, has a somewhat similar hanging bell that makes photographing the idol most difficult. Perhaps just means I need to hang the idol.

    I think you should try to capture the entire ornament, the dangling end piece distracts from the golden dragon. If you can get enough distance below the ornament, consider placing the flash directly below. Nice effort.

    I will give it a try. But what is this flash thing- a-ma-jig? This was done with a desk lamp.

    okay i thought you were referring to a flash as in flash on the camera. And I do use a flashlight too but not this time.
