I could not believe this
Scenario...snowstorm...using my dated 1Ds3 with a 300mm f/2.8 lens attached, shooting off a car
window clamp. I wasn't able to manual focus because I couldn't see my target in the live view
screen. Figured what the hey, I'm here...try the AF. Could not believe that it nailed it...Bang!
I boosted contrast in LR and used my normal sharpening set to 100 and merged to pano...that's all!
Full image and a 1000 pixel crop.

Re: I could not believe this
The first shot is stunning. It is clean, simple very uncomplicated.
I like it as is but was just wondering if you bought the black up a bit, what would it look like!

Re: I could not believe this
That's a great image. Super composition and controlled contrast and adequate sharpness which I think is just right.
Your narrative reminds me that 'many' years ago back in film days I would try anything hoping that I would be rewarded for my efforts. Nowadays I tend to only shoot if certain of a positive outcome. Time for me to think again!

Re: I could not believe this
Amazing performance from the technology but I really like the composition of the first one as well.
