    Funky ice sculpture

I spent a bit of time cropping and playing around with Nik Color Efex Pro on the Winterlude ice sculptures I captured on Sunday and came up with this rather funky image.

The one thing I don't like about this image is that I generally work in a high gamut colour space (ProPhoto) and then convert to sRGB for posting to the web. The colours in this image are definitely out of gamut for sRGB, so the result is a LOT less vivid than the version I see on my screen.

May be less vivid but I love it. Really, really good.

Very funky, indeed! Ironically, it reminds me of an image I made at the Bayon temple in Angkor, Cambodia. That material was stone, not ice.
