A response to Mr Dave H

Well Mr Dave, re your observation in my post ' capturing eye contact,' do they really look as if they have not got enough to eat? Heck, you could have the RSPCA jumping on us from a great height for maltreating our stock! They are really as fat as bush pigs ( our animals, not the RSPCA, that is! ) Our two cows and three sheep have 250 acres of open native pasture to frolic around in, plus getting regular hand fed top ups with lucerne hay. Our Daughter tends to over feed them.
The ideal weight for sending beasts off to market here is around 400 to 600 kgms. We just moved on two steers which weighed in at 1400kgms and several cows weighing in between 800 to 900 kgms. We had trouble getting them up a standard size race onto the truck! Had to get in special portable mobile race.
So, I put it to you, and anyone else who wishes to comment, do these telly tubbies really look as if they are scratching for a feed? God knows what their Cholesterol is. Shudder to think!
Anyway, thanks for viewing and for your comments Dave, which pre-empted this bit of nonsense from me. But sometimes it feels good to stir a possum up a tree and have a bit of fun.

    Dear Ken,

Not sure about your commentary, but I can see your critters are well cared for and happy.

    Nice pictures, too.

They certainly look contented, Ken. I really like the last portrait but I can't really tell how large that one is without comparing it to the image above where she stands taller than the Misses!

    Hey Marie
Tongue in cheek comment to Dave, an extremely nice man. Not meant to be having a go at him. and no malice of either fore, during or after thought is implied. One tends to forget Australian's attempts at a sense of humour are often misunderstood by others. Thank you for picking me up. Apologies to Mr Dave for any unintentional offence I may have given.

I don't know how you ever part with any of the creatures after treating them so well. That is one large bovine.

They are all excellent shots, Ken. And hey! I love Aussie talks. Whenever you upload or respond to a post, I sort of realized how long it has been since I was in Oz. ... ... a few months? One day I will go back to live there...

Nice photos, the animals all look very nice. The lady, on the other hand, looks like she could use some groceries..................

    Well Mr. Ken,

In that other thread, I have clearly been misled with regard to the delicacies to which your flock are treated.

I guess I should have known better - you've been here long enough!

No offence taken with the thread - which I somehow missed until today.

Do cows get prescribed statins, I wonder
