    Magician's Assistant

The lady was chosen over the little fellow, somehow I don't think he was so disappointed. The shot was taken around 6:00PM, however the bright sun cast shadows as if it were midday.

Oh Wow! Sexy...at least she doesn't look starving like many girls nowadays...it is good that she can show off her legs too...I like her smile and the expression of the the little boy. The audience helps too in putting the concentrating on her. Good capture.

The lighting is a bit on the harsh side, but well handled and an interesting scene has resulted.

nice, like the interaction between the girl and lad while most looking at the girl, gives a good feel for a natural shot, nowt you can do about the strong light, having said that, good control over highlights and shadows

    Geoff,

Thanks for the comments. Very harsh light, backlit subjects were impossible.

    Mark,

Thanks for the comments, it is a fine balancing act to shoot under these conditions.

I like it John. I often think we are too worried about harsh lighting and shadows, it happens, does it detract anything from this image, no.

    Kim,

Thanks for the comments. I do live in a cold climate, but I have to get away from it all for at least a week. This was taken down in Key West.

    Hi Grahame,

Thanks for the comments. Often while traveling, most excursions are scheduled during this type of lighting, best to get a handle on it or live without a few extra captured memories.

Nice shot, John. Without your explanation we can only guess at what is going on between the girl and boy, but you have captured their interaction well.

Sometimes you just have to shoot otherwise you miss the moments, like this one. Do not care about the
    lighting. This picture works.
