Here are some of the first shots taken today with my new Canon 100mm 2.8 L macro lens. I think I now see why everyone loves the L series lenses. The colors are amazing and the sharpness unbelievable. Now, I just have to become a better photographer.
Heading to my summer job in Glacier NP tomorrow and will be taking many more flower pictures as spring hits the high country.

Beautiful shots, Dave! The tulip is my favorite: the layers of translucency and shadows are just wonderful.

Thanks, I got the lens in the afternoon and had an eye doctor appointment just after it was delivered. So later in the evening I took these pictures, eyes still somewhat dilated but the sun was setting and creating these shadows. Just glad the camera could see the flowers better than my eyes.
