    What a wonderful world!

A lot of people go to a tiger reserve with the sole intention of seeing tigers and come away disappointed more often than not when they do not spot one. They should understand that tigers are just one of the many beautiful creatures and scenes that the forest has to offer. Keeping an open mind and open eyes will help one see the beauty of the forest and the many wonderful things it's ecosystem has to offer.

Taken at dawn at the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, India.

    C&C welcome

    What a wonderful world!

Amen to that, Ashish. Nowadays I think we've gotten too accustomed to things available on-demand. For me, any day spent in nature is a good day. If one sees a tiger, better yet. But as you say it is a shame not to appreciate every moment and every opportunity that nature provides.

This is a lovely, peaceful image.

Had my share of disappointments, three outings in one day and not one tiger. Glad to see you made the most of your excursion. Nicely captured.

That is really nice Ashish. It speaks of serenity but I guess dawn on the reserve is as noisy as dawn is anywhere.

A wonderful shot, Ashish. You've done a wonderful job capturing the mood!

We spent a few days in one of the national parks in Nepal, where we definitely saw signs of tigers, but did not see any. As we were on foot for a good part of this, perhaps this was for the best...

We did not expect to see tigers as sightings are quite rare, but you are 100% correct; there are so many other wonderful things to see too.

Very pleasant image Ashish. I like the way the birds each have their own branch and of course the way the water has picked up the colour.

Maybe no tigers, but a heck of a beautiful piece of art you captured. It simply evokes strong emotions of calmness and peace. Thank you for the share.

Wow! Now this is what I call a real nature shot. You've got a good photographic eyes for this kind...even your people shot depicts serenity too...but this one is really great...and +1 to Grahame's comment too about the sun's reflections on the water...

    Wow Ashish,

That shot gave me a tingle when I opened it in the Lytebox full screen.

Excellent shot borne of an excellent attitude.

    Well done, Dave

    Re: What a wonderful world!

Thank you all for your comments and appreciation... i have learnt a lot from this forum since i joined it in 2011.

I did get some great tiger sightings on my recent visit to the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve but i also noticed that a lot of people in their enthusiasm to spot a tiger miss out on the the very visible beauty of the forest - They go out on the ride full of enthusiasm and return looking crestfallen. If only they looked around them and appreciated what they actually saw, they would not be so disappointed and if they saw a tiger it would be a great bonus.

I will be posting some of my tiger shots in my next post.

    Thank you all again.

    Cheers!
