Garth Brooks in Concert - Consol Energy Center, Pittsburgh, PA

This weekend I treated my husband to a Garth Brooks Concert for his birthday.

We were in the nosebleed section, in the back of the stage - less than ideal conditions, but the show was wonderful.

I took my camera and 70-300 lens.

    So???? What do you say?

I really enjoy stage photography, so would appreciate commentary.

    Thank you!

I didn't understand what "nosebleed section" was until I saw your shots. You made good with the exposures on these, so much to say for my own one last weekend... I am lazy in PP nowadays that I have more on my hands than I can handle...

Lucky you and nicely done. Are the audience members looking at themselves onscreen in image #4, most don't seem to be paying much attention to Garth? I somehow like the first even though the entertainer isn't physically in the image.

    Dear John,

You are quite correct. Most of the people were looking for themselves in the Jumbotron (I do not know what else to call it). Pure narcissism. That is the real irony of this picture.

    Dear Izzie,

Thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to comment.

Yes, "nose bleed" seats " are those that are so high up there in terms of altitude that one might get a nose bleed just by being there. LOLS!

Too much rich detail to make out on my iPhone, 'Rie. I will make a point of looking on the big screen tonight.

A good set of pictures, your nose bleed seats provided a good photographic opportunity. One small point, no. 1 stands on it's own, 4, 5 and 6 are a set - but I would have put number 2 and 3 with 7, (or 7 with 2 and 3) as these seem to go together too.

Cool set, Marie. Lots of interesting pattern, texture and colour. I particularly like #s 1, 2 and 5, all of which are a little out of the ordinary for me, and make me think that would have been a spectacle worth seeing.
