A sunset

Here's a setting sun just as it's about to slide behind the heavier clouds. This was taken with a d7100 55-300mm lens 1/110s @ f/16 with ISO set to 140. Trying to capture the sunburst.



Here we moved back and tried to get the "big picture". d7100 with a 16-35mm with a shutter speed of 1/50s @ f/16 with the iso at 200. ...I can't crop it! I want it all. I SO love this place!

No 1 because you have managed to retain detail in all whilst capturing that sunburst and No 2 for that great sky.

This is at the "Oxbow" while looking at the Tetons Mountains from the Wyoming side. Sort of between Jackson Hole, Wy and Yellowstone Park. In the second shot you can see a few of the many cars that were parked along side the road with fellow photographers and tourist doing the same as I. We had a pretty eventful day.

BTW Dave, the cigar works well with clearing "shooting space" around me. For some reason most yuppies don't appreciate a fine cigar.

David, impressive and as stated grand shootin to hold that detail in on #1, love the #2nd a lot, pull up a chair, pour a whiskey and take a puff - enjoy the view as the can (can see) moves slowly to cant (cant see)

It's on my "to-do" list! I just exported these out of capture one and have yet to do anything to them in photoshop. I'll most likely open them up next week when I have a little more time to play and take them out. It really didn't bother me that much since I don't have plans for the photo other than posting here and maybe in my d7100 users group.

BTW, there are about 6 other photographers spread along the bank just under and to the left of the cars as well. ...just part of the scene.

I think the first one is beautiful, I especially like the sun burst in this image. Other elements are nice as well, except maybe that I would like to see the grass in the FG in focus, or not there, but it's no big deal.
