Interesting subject, Griddi. It reminds me of a giraffe. The lighting is nice, but I think the highlights need to be tamed.
Beautiful pictures .The picture can be printed in big panorama poster and can be used for home decor, as they will give a very real look .
Nice capture!
Greg, thank you for looking and comment, I agree with you re the highlights, and tried them to tone down in Lightroom, but I think this was all what I could manage........
Griddi.......
Ouch! too much highlights...nevertheless very nice shot.
Thank you !!!!!!!
Yes, I know.....I tried to fix it in Lightroom, but was not able, will try again though.......
Thank you for your kind comment........
Griddi......
Thank you David ......
Griddi.....
Very interesting shot Griddi, You get the highlights bit so wont labour that - I do like the low angle approach to give 'size' to the tree, maybe next time try it portrait to get more of the tree in to emphasis the height? I also like seeing plants we have a pot plants here growing in the wild - its nice to see them in their natural habitat.
Well I like it Griddi !
We can't always choose the background for our subject or the time of day so we make the most of what we have
I put it in ACR and the highlights can be pulled back to remove all clipping.
A great subject, very majestic.
Good one! i can feel the wood air and sound..
To take pictures of the wood has always been a struggle for me, rarely some good shots among mine.
Nice capture and angles are neat . as stated the background too bright and the highlights could use some adjusting.
Mark,Grahame, Nicola, Geoff F, and Raymond.....thank you very much for taking out the time to look and comment, re the golden light tree.......
I shoot the photo in the Botanic Garden, and have plans, as soon as the weather is a bit cooler, at present we have hot days with 41-42 C , to visit the Botanic Garden again, and will take some more images of the tree, hopeful with less highlights.......
I did try yesterday in Lightroom to tone down the highlights, but could not make much of a difference........
