Mumbles Lighthouse from under the Pier... (Its been a while!)

Belated Happy New Year all It's been awhile...

I've been so busy with other things that this morning was the first time I had picked up my camera since Christmas Eve! (So I might be a little rusty) Anyway, I headed down to the beach to try and get a lovely sunrise (without checking the weather forecast) and it was all doom and gloom

I did manage to shoot this dramatic and kind of eerie image I think of the lighthouse from under the pier, I'm still working on the PP but any feedback or thoughts are much welcomed.

It certainly works for me Matt and I can see there's more potential there to explore. Sunrises don't have to be all about pretty colours, it's the light, so I've read

nice Matt, I like the way the light in the sky seems to funnel down to the lighthouse - any way you can bring the lighthouse to more prominence ? as said the area looks to have lots of potential, have fun

Cheers Mark, I'm gonna get down there a bit earlier tomorrow so its still dark and the lighthouse is actually "on", to see if I can get a nice starburst from it.

The subdued colours in this shot, the textures in the rock, the weeds hanging off the skeletal structure on the left, all combined with that lowering sky gives this image an apocalyptic feeling for me. You could give it a grunge style of processing and really enhance that impression.
