Oh No! not another sunrise shot...

But it is...sorry to disappoint you all...

This is what I mean by overprocessing, Grahame...I cannot go lower in my ISO but was able to contained my shutter speed and I am still not happy really...and forgive me, I forgot to clean the bunnies away...I am in my uncalibrated laptop as I was on my way here to Australia...I had not slept on any of our plane trips but I did for the first time so far in my life! And this sight was what woke me up...I am enjoying the harsh sunshine here at the moment so I think my polarizer will come in handy during the day...

I have a lot of photos to take with the Chinese celebration and parties we are going to and of course my little princess, Anika and her parents, my son and DIL and some friends...so I will have some models for my portrait and stuffs. Will upload as I have time...

Regardless of how much you may have processed this or not I still find myself staring into the colors for an extended period! Enjoy the sunshine as we brace for another snow storm.

    Hi Izzie,

On the contrary, a beautiful capture of the sky (beautifully exposed) with exceptionally gorgeous colours. I also like the diagonal angle/lines of the wing/sky.

Have a great trip! Enjoy each and every moment!

    Hi Izzie,

It looks to me like you have exposed this one just about spot on

Having left the slight clipping in the area where we would expect it this can be removed by a very minor amount of 'highlight' reduction (I used -3 in ACR). To remove that same clipping using the 'exposure slider' in ACR would have meant near -1.5 making it more difficult to pull your shadows (unless you want to do a lot of localised work).

Have fun in Aussie and stay coooooool. Looking forward to some images

    Take care

Thank you Andrew for looking and commenting. I have taken a few more of this scene as the sun changes atmosphere and I ended up staring at the view instead...then I just chose one to upload...I am glad you like it as much as I did...

I am having a wonderful sleep time, Kim. I said to my DIL that it will take me a few more bottles of water and two days to get acclimated this time around. Headaches still here too, not really headache but heavy head...must the location. Down Under? does that ring a bell? I am way down in Melbourne, Victoria...the lowest part in the map as you see it...

The trip is over Barbara when I upload this one. It is journey to a beautiful place I will enjoy from now on as a break from winter over there. My neighbour said I just got out in time and it was they will have 8" in Missouri. When she wrote me again, she said they were lucky at 3"...and she was very disappointed. Well, I am not... thank you for your comments. I truly appreciate it very much.

Courtesy of the sliders in On-One. I am beginning to love that program although I still have to work at Photoshop CS6 when I get home. Thanks for looking and commenting. I do appreciate your feedback.

I was sitting by the wing at the cattle section...it is the safest place to be in case there is an accident because of all parts of the plane, the wing float and you have time to go out and be rescued. Thank you for looking and commenting. Coming from you, I appreciate it very much...

Re: Oh No! not another sunrise shot...

I do not use Lightroom...and I still have to get PCS6 when I get home...but I will follow your advice. There is a highlight slider in On One. I guess I did not move it left enough...

Thank you very much for taking the time to tutor me in my work. I do appreciate it very much and will try my best. This is the first time I relied on the histogram too, thanks to you...

We are having a cloudy day here today, a bit cool but better than in the brrrrrrrr......cold weather in the US.I cannot complain... They got 3" in Chesterfield since yesterday and they were disappointed. At least my neighbour is...

Er... no, it's not another sunrise shot. It's a great sunrise shot. I love the colours and those mountainous cloud formations viewed from above.

Not "just another" sunrise, this one is a very interesting perspective. Most of us earthlings take photos from down under the the clouds.

Very nice Izzie, although I think you could have improved the composition if you had got out onto the wing! Have a great holiday pal
